Who we are
I have been a painter most of my life. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a focus in Illustration in 1995. As many people have done, my life too, was taken in many different directions. In 1999, I continued my education by focusing on helping others, instead of focusing on being a graphic artist. I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and moved to California and the Bay Area in 2002. In 2005, I continued my focus on helping others and moved back to Wisconsin to attend nursing school. It was a long journey but, eventually, in 2011 I graduated with a degree in nursing becoming an RN.
I continued to draw and paint during these times to keep my art skills sharp. In 2021, my husband purchased me a digital art tablet and that changed everything. At 50 years of age I began to look to Art again for relaxation. Also being a fur mom to two beautiful Pugs, I began drawing my dogs fairly regularly. They are my muses. With the support of my husband, my family, and my friends, I have been focusing on my love of animals and my friend’s pets. I have created up to 10 detailed and beautiful digital portraits for friends and family and I am ready to make creating digital pet portraits for anyone looking for a professional and fresh POINT of VIEW on pet portraits.
My approach to drawing and painting is to find unique lighting conditions or different askew angles bringing specific focus to the face of your pet. I appreciate challenging my artistic abilities and I have been told I am very good at capturing the personality and spirit of each pet I paint. I look forward to meeting you and coming up with a unique vision to share with family and friends.

My portraits are printed using Giclée, a digital inkjet printer ink and archival substrate (canvas/paper). You can choose between a variety of paper types and canvas types. We can discuss those options in more detail during the estimate process.
I work with a company, The Picture Salon, in Madison, WI who produce exceptional finished products. My prices are based on what it would cost to create the art and print the art according to your preferences. I can also provide the digital image via PDF so you can produce and share your finished product at your convenience at a fee. All fees are individually calculated and emailed with a sign off contract to start the work. I will collaborate with your during the process.
