How long does the entire process take from start to finish?

ANSWER:

The whole process depends on several factors.

• Am I drawing/painting one subject or two?

• How much detail is expected?

• How large will the image end up being. The larger the image the more detail there will be.

• How long will it take for the PictureSalon take to print the image? Closer to Christmas, the wait time for printing takes longer.

Why is getting art made so expensive?

Art is not a necessity but a “want”. Many times you are paying for the expertise of the individual you are commissioning to do the art. That along with their time, dedication and materials adds to the expense of artwork. I know when you receive your art piece you will understand the skill and love of creativity that goes into artmaking. I can help you come up with a price and image that fits your budget without skimping on quality.

What is your process?

The process begins with gathering several different photographs of your pet and working together to decide on the right image to create. Then I begin with sketching, analyzing the design and carving out a beautiful vision of your beloved pet. This image can be translated onto paper or canvas. I can honestly say, both print out very similarly. It’s all about what you prefer in a finished product.

Can you paint a portrait in black and white?

Yes, I can do any color or black/white. I can make it look like a painting, a drawing, a watercolor or a pastel drawing. There are many possibilities when working graphically.
